Robotpark MF-70 CNC Limit Switch Add-On is created to make it possible to use limit switches with Robotpark MF-70 to CNC Conversion Kit. The purpose of the limit switch add-on is to avoid any harm that can be caused due to a software or electronic issue while using the milling machine. Robotpark MF-70 CNC Limit Switch Add-On contains:
The mechanical and electronical structure of Robotpark MF-70 to CNC Conversion Kit is designed to be used easily with the limit switch add-on easily. For that reason, you don’t have to use any extra mechanical or electronic parts to use the limit switches with the CNC milling machine. All you have to do is to mount the limit switches to their plastic mounting parts and place the mounting parts to their positions on the mechanical connection parts of the Robotpark MF-70 to CNC Conversion Kit and connect the limit switch cables to the ports on the electronics box of the kit. When any of the limit switches are triggered, the CNC milling machine stops and enters into “Alarm” mode. To leave the Alarm mode, you have to reset your machine.
To activate limit switch use in the software, you have to adjust hard limits setting which is $21 coded. To activate this setting, sending “$21=1” command through the command line will be enough. To check that the setting is updated you can type “$$” and see the settings of your machine.
Since packing the limit switch addon mounted on the Robotpark MF-70 CNC Kit is not possible, the users have to do some soldering to mount the limit switches to the kit. The soldering job is pretty straightforward and would not take more than half an hour. The cables making the electronic box and limit switches connections are already soldered to their sockets, so the only thing to do is to mount the limit switches and solder their pins to the socketed cable. The “C” pins of the limit switches should be soldered to the red wire and “NO” pins should be soldered to the black wire of the socketed cable.
