A New Form of Peristaltic Locomotion in a Robot – 11062

Our lab at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa has developed an optically controlled microrobot system. The microrobots consist of very tiny (0.1 to 0.5 mm in diameter) air bubbles inside of a fluid-filled chamber.
Those robotic toys are getting cheaper and more complicated everyday. Tomorrows children are so lucky ! Demonstration by HiTEC at the 2008 Electric Flight Expo in Glendale, Arizona. Filmed with the Canon Powershot G9.
Cybernics research aims to enhance health and vitality through robot suits. The word Cybernics comes from cybernetics, mechatronics and informatics. But this field also requires neurology, behavioral science, robotics, IT, physiology and psychology.
This robotic leg design is usefull for people who finds it hard to walk by himself. This robot is walking without a source of energy (of course it takes power from it’s potential energy) It doesn’t use any kind of motor or control. It is made of aluminum and it contains only mechanical components. The robot has three main parts, upper leg, lower leg and ankles.
Well this is not just a post. We have started a new project research which you can print with a 3D printer and do at home. We will provide source files, lots of images and lots of videos about this new project which is currenty developing. We need all robotee.com users’ help and support over this robotic project. Please go to our robot projects page and get more information about this humanoid robot with the following link.
This video is about a Robot which takes orders from its Chaos Theory Brain >In chaos theory small changes may alter the result, this robots...
The evolution of technology, beginning in the early stone age and evolving to the most powerfull technology of all times.
This is the simplest design for a robotic arm. It has a simple design but it can be enhanced with some additional air muscles.
This is highest speed robotic arm, (actually robotic hand) that can move at ultra high speed. You will see the video in slow motion to understand it. Also we have added this PDF DOCUMENT about Ishikawa Oku Laboratory’s Researches BOOKLET
